Admission Procedure

  • The School session starts from 1st week of June every year and ends during the first week of April.
  • The first step towards admission is registration. After registration a mutually convenient date is fixed for an entrance test and interview of the child.
  • Admissions are based on the performance of the child in the entrance test and availability of seats in the particular class. The School takes children from Class LKG to XI.
  • Writing of any kind in the book is punishable with a fine.
  • While most students will join school at the beginning of each academic year, we understand that some may arrive at a later date. Based on the availability of places, we are happy to admit students throughout the year.
  • We admit LKG to XI Std in the beginning of the Academic year. Usually the admissions are done on seeing the performance and character for higher standards.
  • The entire fee amount should be paid at the time of admission.
  • We have two sections in each class from LKG to V Std, We admit 30 students and from VI Std, We admit 35 in each sections.

General Rules

  • Student must attend the morning assembly without fail. Late comers to the school will be allowed to enter the class only with the permission of the principal.
  • Students may be allowed to leave the school only with the permission of the principal, before or during the normal schedule.
  • Home assignments must be done neatly and regularly and submitted on the due date.
  • Students should not come to the school during holidays/vacation without the permission of the principal.
  • No student or parent can arrange felicitation or offer any gift to the members of the Southside Matric. Hr. Sec. School staff.
  • Students are expected to greet the teacher and elders whenever the students go in groups, especially to the prayer, physical Education, & library classes.
  • Queue habit should be followed whenever the students go in groups, especially to the prayer, Physical Education, & Library Classes. During the break and interval, the students should not shout or run here and there or play.

School Rules

  • Students must be present in the school at 9.00a.m. Every working day unless otherwise informed.
  • Students must come to school with neat and clean uniform and shoes.
  • On every working day, inspection of uniform will be held. Any student found in improper uniform or dirty shoes will be punished.
  • Students should show respect and courtesy to the elders and teachers. They should observe all formalities of good manners at all times, both inside and outside the school.
  • Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, neglect of homework, disobedience and disrespect to teachers and school authorities or abnormal behaviour would result in dismissal. Students are responsible for their conduct both inside and outside the school.
  • Any intimation sent to the parents by the teachers or principal must be shown to the parents on the same day itself.
  • Students are expected to speak in English in the campus.
  • Students are not allowed to bring razor blades or any other sharp instruments to the school. No books (other than texts), calculator, magazines or newspapers are allowed inside the campus.

General Instruction to Parents

  • Parents must ensure that children bring the dairy to school every day.
  • Mark sheets/progress reports will be sent to the parents to be signed and returned within 3 days.
  • Parents are requested to avoid requesting leave for their wards as far as possible. In case of absence for special reasons, leave application should be sent in writing prior to the date. In case of sickness, leave letter should be produced on the day the day the student attends school. Producing medical certificate is essential in case of long absence.
  • Parent’s attendance at the Parents - Teachers - Association meeting is compulsory.
  • Parents should check the diary everyday for homework and other instructions.
  • It is the parent’s responsibility to notify in writing, of the change of address or telephone number. The school is required to keep an up to date record of such information.
  • Parents should see that their children follow the rules and regulations of the school and ensure that their kid is in full uniform.
  • Parents who are desirous of taking their wards home during working hours (in case of any emergency) should come in person and get permission from the principal by submitting a written request dully signed.
  • Parents have the responsibility to notify the school when a student’s suffers from ailments like severe allergies, diabetes, heart diseases etc.
